usually between 4 and 6 months old, the one thing to make sure of besides food rations are that they have plenty of water, during hot spells I either freeze corn and put in their water or add ice cubesI got my hens back at the beginning of April. When do they normally start laying? Does the temperature (been hot here) have an affect on them starting to lay? I have 4 Black Australorps, 2 Red Orphingtons, and 2 Buff Orphingtons.
