We started planning and purchased everything for my coop in APRIL!!!!! Dh has changed his mind and my design more than a few times. We have had more rain since then than we did in last three yrs... It's almost finished except for the run. I had found and paid for my entire flock..in May.. Sept 1st I had to cancel the order and gave the breeder the money--she had held them for 5 months....
It looks like I will be able to get chickens in Oct but doubt I will be able to find the same breeds, from one breeder, that are laying, for the same amount of money...Oh, well.. I will have chickens NO matter what breed they are..
