My duckies are about 15 weeks old. I don't know their breed, just wondering when we might expect an egg?
We have 3 hens and 3 drakes.
Also wondering what I can do to prepare them for laying.

They are mostly free range in our yard we feed them Purina flock raiser (non medicated.) and some cracked corn and other various treats as they come out of the kitchen.
They all stay in the same duck, house at night.
We live in the Arizona mountains So its pretty warm now but nights will start getting chilli in about 4-6 weeks.
Thanks Duckies!

I hear some ducks start laying around 18 weeks while others wait until after winter to start laying.

I hope you get some eggs soon!

Are you giving them any niacin?

Small breeds can lay starting around 18 weeks but I wouldn't expect anything till 20-24 weeks. Also you need to keep a real eye on you your females because you have too many drakes. Once they start mating then can really over do it with the girls and you will need to step in and separate them. A much better ratio is 3 hens to 1 drake. So watch them carefully and step in as needed. Over mating is a serious issue and will also slow down or stop egg production.
