Where’s the best hatchery to buy assorted geese.

I need some weeder geese. What is the best source for assorted geese. I don’t need show quality, but I do want purebred.

I haven't ordered any online personally, but our local Rural King that I got my pom from places their orders from Privett.

I go through My Pet Chicken because I can do a small order. I believe Murray McMurray has weeder geese.

I bought just 2 geese from Metzer farms in California. I don't know if it's true or not but I heard that most hatcheries don't have waterfowl of their own. They buy them from Metzer or other "suppliers". So I'd rather just get them from the source.

Mine shipped out of California, which surprised me, so you may be right.

I got my geese from Metzers. They actually originally sent me the wrong breed but sent more geese for free when I contacted them about it. Very friendly people, the owner called me to apologize for the error.

Currently I have 1 African goose and a pair of Super Africans. They're wonderful but very loud. I'd order from Metzers again in a heartbeat.

Holderread Waterfowl Farm if you are wanting purebred. I ordered 2 assorted goslings & got an Emblem and an African. Totally delighted that they were both females. Had also gotten Welsh Harlequin ducklings from them the previous year and loved their coloring - more vivid in the Silvers and Golds as compared to other hatcheries (same prices too) where those just looked too washed out.
