Where and how to sell chickens

I've really been wanting to breed chickens but i am not sure exactly who would buy them. I guess I could sell them on craigslist. I've always lokid the idea of becoming a hatchery but feel like it would be kind of hard. What are the steps of becoming a hatchery so you can sell online and stuff like that? I definitely want my future job to involve chickens and i'm trying to figure which is the best route to go, hatchery/breeder, egg business, or meat chicken business. Thanks..

I think to compete with the big hatcheries you need to work out what you can supply that they don't. That may be a breed, how you deliver, something else, but its going to be hard to make a living unless people have to come to you. You also in this day and age need fantastic customer service as nothing will kill a business that relies on word of mouth referrals quicker than a few bad reviews online.
