My first batch of chicks made their way into the world on Feb 25th. It's been a month now, and BOY! Have they grown!
We hatched out 30 chicks! I sold off 10 of them (including one of my reds) about a week old to a kind old man my mother works with. Here's the group I referred to as the REDS THEN...
And here they are NOW...
I gotta say that they are by FAR my favorite in regards to coloring. I love the white/beige against the red. I think I have TWO roos in the batch, but as long as the rest are hens, I think I'll survive. What do ya'll think? In time I'll have to find homes for the roos or instroudce them to the soup pot...
I think he's a ROO... but he is sooo pretty!
A whole lot like the first one, but this one has more RED. It was meant to be a pic of both chicks, but one tried to run away. LOL
She's my favorite. She looks so dainty. You can see the other that has RIR coloring to her, in the background. Would not cooperate for pictures!

Any clues as to how many pullets/cockerels?
