Where are we in the molt?

okay...we adopted this hen Saturday and they said she was molting? does this look to be the beginning or end .most of the others were bare backed.We are wondering if she is going in or out of Molting.

I have some that look way worse than that and I was told it is from mounting. My rooster is waaaaay bigger than the hens and some are bald and some a all fluffy. Let me know f you get a good answer.

That looks like Mounting to me....

I've got two NHR hens, and both of them look that way. The rest of the flock also gets his "attentions", but I guess just not as frequently.

The hen looks like she was around a rooster and was mated a good amount. Some of my hens looked the same until I re-homed my rooster. Barebacked usually = being over mated.

That looks like to much mating to me to. My hens have molted 3 times and they never had bald spots. Maybe just the breed. There are feathers all over the coop and the hens look skinny for a while.
