I have about a cord or two of wood left if you need it, Katy.

I am sooo hoping we have seen the last of snow here. 2 years ago it snowed the night before Easter and killed all the apple and damson blossoms in the area.

Surfing in San Diego today. A nice 80-85 but the wind off the ocean kept it from getting sweaty, anniversary dinner and a long drive home talking about alotta nothing.

First day of spring and I'm sitting here looking out the window at the snow falling and coating the ground. Will probably stay inside as much as possible today, still trying to recover from a bad cold and now just starting antibiotics for a urinary tract infection that is really making me uncomfortable. But, it's a new day, full of new blessings and I'll do what I can to enjoy it.

I'm waiting to hear if my mare is going to be bred today. If so - off to the stud farm. Until then, I guess I'll go give my other two preg. mares bathes so they are cleaner for foaling which is rapidly approaching. First one is due in 11 days! Then, laundry and feeding chickens and dogs and cats and horses and off to bed to do it all over again tomorrow.......Now if I could only make MONEY doing all this!!!!

Today I started out the day by going on BYC to see what my "friends" are all up to! Pretty soon I'm going to get off of this computer and go out and clean up the yard. I'm thinking of putting in a new tiny flower bed near my chicken run to plant some pansies. We are going to plant our onions, and maybe peas.

Later on I have to run out to the store to get a present for my soon-to-be Godson's baptism tomorrow (I am the QUEEN of procrastination)!

I'm going to finish off my day by going to the local small animal auction. Can't wait for that! I'm not planning on buying anything, unless there are EEs or polish chicks. But then again, you never know what might show up!

I hope everyone here on BYC has a wonderful day! But, I feel bad for the people that are dealing with snow. Enough already!!! We had a lot of snow here this year, and I'm just glad to be able to spend some time outside!

Are you going to that "green dragon" auction? I think that's what it's called

I saw their website and wasn't sure what it was like. Had our "hay guy" mention it for selling off my extra boys. If it's the same, you'll have to let me know what you think...heck, even if it's not, share pretty please.

OH, and horses are bathed and now very very angry with me and so they immediately rolled in the only dirt pile they could find outside the minute they were turned loose

. I'm still taking pictures of them - they will just have to be muddy ones.

And of course, now I NEED a bath!!!

We are back in my garden. We are putting together a square foot planter using the premise of 100 lbs of potatoes in 4 square feet to see what we harvest this year in potatoes.

I am getting my pea trellises and arbors in place and we are moving compost and filling raised beds.

The weather is bad here today, so I'm just going to do some laundry and clean the house

I sure miss the days that I got to stay home, but now I have to work.

I guess I'll work on my application to get into Nursing School. Kind of scary at my age trying to compete against the younger ones.
