I have checked our local farm stores, elevators, feed stores with no luck. I have called around and no one has heard of humangrade DE. My husband tried up by his work.. the only think he found was pool filter grade. They had no clue what he was asking for...

My feed store has had it on back order for 2 mths straight now.

Try Lowe's . Just got some today, I didn't know they had it. It was a 4 pound bag.

I finally found someone at my local co-op who didn't look at me like I was an alien or something when I asked for Diatemaceous Earth. One of the guys knew what it was, thank god! They didn't carry it but ordered it for me. Ask for food grade instead of human grade or another name for it is freshwater fossil shell flour. I was getting ready to order off of e-bay, glad I didn't.

Was it Food Grade and what section did you find it in?

I saw something at lowes online but couldn't read the ingrediants to see if it was food grade.. I saw the bag sold in the pest control area . And with further research I read that only human grade will kill the insects mites etc.. the pool filter DE found at lowes if a courser heat set type of thing and is toxic if eaten and does not kill bugs.. I haven't quite wanted to get this yet.. I'm looking for a bigger amount and want it to say human grade..

I will have to see if I can find a coop around here.. I found it online without shipping : 50lbs for 85.00

Check out Feed Stores in your area. I check one out that I have never been at before, while waiting for a lumber yard to open. I found it, food grade! 5lbs. for $5bucks! A lot better than $30 on-line.

the local feed store here in Lapeer cannot legally carry DE because they mill their own grain. i don't know what the law is they are speaking of but they were very firm about it.
