I am very interested in getting a few quail. I was wondering if anybody knew of a place where I could get quail in West Michigan or of a hatchery that sends small orders of quail at a reasonable price.

No one ships live quail at a reasonable price. Your best bet would be to incubate eggs from someone on here or Ebay.

Sometimes Tractor Supply Company carries quail in the spring. You can also look at your local craigslist, you might find some there. Also...check with your local county poultry extension/4-H club. They might have leads for you as well.

You can also dig around on line in your state to see if you can find a quail farm not too far from you that you might be able to drive to and pick up a handful of quail.

Also...check here in the "Where am I where are you" section for Michigan. You might post this question there and maybe someone will chime in with some info.

Even the breeders directory in the quail archives. Someone there might ship a small amount of chicks to you. Maybe.
