Where can I get Blue Isbar chickens?

I realize this is an old thread, but I'd like to chime in. For awhile now, the Blue Isbar has been one of my "must haves." I've done some comparison shopping and found that Brinkhaven Acres offers Blue Isbar hatching eggs and straight-run day-olds at VERY reasonable prices. I've been in contact with Ben and find him very nice and helpful. If I end up getting some, I'll post pics!

Hope to see some pictures! I am hoping to get some chicks from greenfire farms this spring. I'll have my dream chicken some day, I know it!

I have 7 Blue Isbar chicks (4 for me and 3 for a friend) on order for the week of March 8th.

I'll definitely post some pictures!

What breeds are you hoping to order from Greenfire? Is the Isbar on your wish list? Greenfire offers chicks on rarebreedauctions.com, so if you're interested in saving money, that may be an option...

Yes, the isbar has always been on my wish list. Well, the 10 page long wish list! I plan on getting 6 isbars (that is the minimum order) the chicks are expensive but it is worth it

Yes, I also have an ever-growing wish list of must-have breeds. Last night, my daughter showed me pictures of Chamois Campines, and they instantly shot to the top of my list.

I hope to see pictures of your babies when you get them. :)

I have Isbars and am in Northern KY. I have a breeding group of just 1st import (from 3 different sources for diversity and vitality) and also a breeding group of mixed import lines (mixed Import cockerel from a different breeder covering 2 first import hens and 2 second import hens). I am starting to hatch chicks and will have some available later this year.

Thank you, KYTinpusher! I'll bet you have some gorgeous birds. Northern Kentucky is doable for me, so I'll file that information away. I don't know whether mine are going to be first, second, or mixed import, but I'll ask when I meet the breeder. I've heard many prefer the first imports. The Isbar really is such a lovely breed.
