Where can I test my birds?

Black spots on combs could be dry pox, or pecking injuries.
Mucus and bubbly eye is most likely some respiratory infection.
Not sure about the bumps around beak.

I agree that one of the chickens looks to have fowl pox scabs. Bubbles in eyes, “sunken” eyes with conjunctivitis could be mycoplasma (MG,) which can be a secondary infection of fowl pox. It alao may happen on it’s own, but since pox scabs frequently occur near eyes, it can be a good environment for mycoplasma.

You can get testing from your state poultry lab, but also through a lab called Zoologix which privately sends swabs to test for up to 8 respiratory diseases for around $90. The state lab may be less expensive, but some states may get involved if there is a reportable disease. Here is a link for Zoologix:

I don't see fowl pox.
I'm not sure what's going on with the chick.
Is it getting picked on?
No, not that I’m aware of. I had a other chick that had the same thing but the wart was bigger and he died. (Not sure if he died from it or the fact that it was less than 30 degrees outside. He did have a mama to keep him warm btw)

Is that price $90 for one bird?? Or do they send you a lot of swabs to do like a whole flock?
