where did my duck go???

My blue runner female disappeared, I came home from vacation and collected eggs. This whole week I found 2 eggs from my fawn and whites.
But my blue just disappeared today

Not following the whole story - were they in a pen while you were gone, was someone looking after them? If they free range, they are susceptible to predators.

It is possible she may be sitting on a hidden nest. Broody ducks are very very vulnerable and her life is at stake.

I would pull out the stops to see if I could find her and the nest and either secure that area to keep her safe - I mean, really secure it - or get her, the nest and the eggs into a predator safe area a.s.a.p.

Start doing a sweep of their area. Ducks are great at hiding and sitting on nests. There is always a chance that something got her but I would look high and low before coming to that conclusion. Was someone watching them while you are gone?

They are free range and after a couple hours she came running under the goat fence to the other ducks, she had feathers in her mouth so i agree she probably wen broody. And yes i will secure the area

I'm glad she come home. You might want to look and see if you can find the eggs if she has been sitting on them.
