WHERE DID THE EGG GO???

I went out this morning to see if there were any eggs. There was one and I left it. I came back about an hour later and there was a wet spot. One of the chickens ate the egg!?!? Why did this happen?

I dusted them with DE yesterday (the 2nd and last time) for lice. Would that upset them enough to do that?

I am so confused.

I have never had a chicken eat an uncracked egg until this morning----I don't know what has gotten into them lately
