Where did the eggs go.

I have 2 chickens who have been laying since the end of june. The were born feb 15th and have been laying since july 27th pretty regularly. Little over a week and a half one of them stopped laying. I thought after 3 days maybe she was laying in the yard so I penned them up in their coop for 3 days and still only got one egg. I live in Duluth MN and I know we are getting darker sooner but I wouldn't think that this would make her skip so many days. The chicken looks healthy and still hangs out with the other chicken. So why did she stop laying?

Having never had a chicken molt I'm going to say no she is not. She has all her feathers and looks plump and happy. She is a Australorp and the chicken who is still laying is the Barred.

The chickens have to take breaks in between laying streaks because... actually i'm not sure why... Maybe someone else knows.
