Where did you find the eggs??

I built a nice 4x6 coop for my three girls, 1 Red sexlink and 2 silver Lakenvelders, and got them into it. Red started laying in there before it was finished. Freckles finally started laying after we finished and moved them into it. Speckles has yet to start. All of a sudden we stopped getting little white eggs last 3 days. I told my wife she must have started laying elsewhere. So I started looking. We had them in a converted doghouse that pushed up against a 2x 8 ft pen that was pathetically too small for them. I decided to look in the old coop and sure enough, there was 2 white eggs, one of which was the biggest she has laid so far. So I decided that they probably should not be eaten, marked them with a felt pen and put them in 2 of the nesting boxes (we have a plastic one in the third nest). I am hoping she goes back to laying in the new house. We have blocked the old coop so she can't get back in.
Anyone with similar experiences?

The top is store bought, middle Red, bottom Freckles' first egg

Not a personal experience, but a friend had 2 that layer in her grill. She tried keeping it covered, moved location…but they still layer on top of cover or next to it. I think you have the right plan on blocking the other spot and moving the eggs. But I would keep an eye around their spot not to miss eggs.
