Where do I find finisher feed for turkeys?

Hi everyone. Originally I posted this under turkeys, and one of the responders suggested I place the question in your forum. Here is the text.




Hi everyone. I have five turkeys, Narragassett breed that are earmarked for thanksgiving dinner. This is my first time raising turkeys so I have been reading a lot. One thing I read is to feed them “finisher” feed. I can’t find that in the internet or stores. Is it a omething I just buy? Or simply give them a lot of carb veggies during the last weeks? Will “all stock feed” work the same way? I use that for my donkey and goats. Or is there a recipe for me to blend to give them.

I guess you didn't get the answers you were looking for in your previous thread.
Turkeys are unique and not particularly in the same realm of nutritional requirements of what are traditionally thought of as meat birds = those being Cornish cross or Freedom/Red Rangers.

I know this probably has nothing to do with turkeys but here in SA you usually can buy finisher for chickens but not sure about turkeys
