Where do I take my ducks to get their wings clipped??

So my husband and I looked when he got home a little bit ago I tried to earlier but the little one was so fussy I couldn't get him to hold still long enough for me to look under his wing. Both my husband and i looked, NOT A SINGLE SCRATCH ON HIM! Atleast it wasn't anything serious however I'm now worried about the other ducklings and whether they will continue to pull out growing feathers..... I'm thinkin they may have gotten more than one feather. Do you suggest me keeping them separated still or would he be ok to go with the flock ???

I'd try slowly to introduce him back into the group by adding one at a time and observing to his side of the coop though this way you may see who was doing this to begin with watch as you add over the course of the day. If you find it's more than one having them separated your breaking up the pecking order and once they are all together again this one may not be at the bottom. You can also buy a product called Blue Kote TSC carries it in dauber it will make what ever it touches purple so it disguises any wound or injury and keeps the others for going at it again. It also helps heal. This may take several days to a week to move the pecking order around till this little one is getting picked on.

So looking last night before putting the ducklings away for the night it's their wings that are bleeding we've had one male which is the one who was really bleeding yesterday and we've noticed a female duckling as well; her wings were bleeding but only slightly.. do you also suggest leaving them together for bedtime as well?? We did leave them all together at night last night, and they have a heat lamp in their area, but we did shut off the heat lamp last night so they could not move around much or see so they'd just sleep through and not pull more wing feathers..

Yes any where except internally and around eyes and mouth. I use a qtip if I have to put any on their faces. Make sure to wear old clothes before using it stains anything it comes in contact with including hands. But is great stuff. I don't know why ducklings seem to go after blood feathers. but it happens frequently. I'd try a few with the one who was picked on yesterday and see how they do together. If they get along them let them sleep together over night then tomorrow morning remove them and add a few more to that first one till all have been rotated in and out if everyone seems okay together try letting them all be together again. Sometimes these things just work themselves out by doing this. You just have to be there to supervise until it does. Boredom can cause this do they have alot of room where you keep them?
