where do you all order/buy your bators?

Thanks everyone! I am using a lg right now. Is going pretty well. I borrowed it from my ds inlaws. I may get my own if this works out, and I was wondering where you all purchased them. Just checking out all my options! I might try the hovabator. I can't put hundreds of $ in one. I'll check all of them out and see.

You get what you pay for. I'd rather spend more & get a good bator. I bought a Brinsea OCT DX 40 & its quite a machine. It holds the temp really well & I've been quite successful at hatching chickens & my recent hatch of coturnix. I have recouped some of the cost by hatching & selling day old chicks. I constantly read about people having temp. problems. I hardly ever even look at the temp & every time I do its perfect.

I have two R-Coms and a Brinsea and like them both. I had trouble with my Brinsea keeping temperature and I sent it back. They are now sending it back to me at no expense and it was out of the warranty period too. That is good service. I am looking forward to having it back as it worked great last year.

I might add that I bought the R-Com 20 this year and it seems to be working great. You feel the little water reservoir in the front, so you do not have to open the incubator and it has a great big window on top which will be great for students to view the hatch. I bought it at Stromberg's and had it shipped.

I have seen Hova Bator at my local Co-op. But each Co-op is vastly different.

I also have a like new LG with fan kit that I got from a yard sale for $20. I use the LG as a hatcher.
