You can get from Petco local store and raise them yourself. 500 medium $6.99 and 1000 large $12.99.

I second this comment!

I purchased 500 from Petco in July last year. Put them in a 10 gallon aquarium to reproduce and I bet I have 1500 already!!!

Not too hard to take care of either. I have them in a bed of dried oatmeal (some recommend other stuff) and I feed them a regular sized carrot a couple times a week.

I leave the worms, beetle and pupla all together. Works fine.

Super Cricket Insect Factory is where I got mine from, I ordered on a weekend, they shipped Monday and arrived Wednesday. I ordered 1000, $9.99 plus shipping. It's been about 4 weeks and there is a good number of beetles now.
