Where do you buy or order your hardware cloth? Also, a bedding Q

Thanks for all of the helpful hints, guys and gals. I really appreciate it! And I'm excited about the vinyl coated, as I needed it for another project and was having a HECK of a time finding it anywhere for a remotely reasonable price. Awesome!

I found the best price from our Ace Hardware believe it or not. They ordered it in in 2 days, and you will avoid a shipping charge that way. I got 2, 100 ft rolls. One 5 ft, and the other 6 ft. We used 1x2 14 Ga. welded and galvanized. I used it on everything, and sleep well at night now.

We have a couple of different farm stores around here that carry just about every kind of fencing you could ever want. That's where we've bought most of ours. There are also a couple of different Home Depot type stores. We've occasionally gotten a couple of rolls there. It pays to look at the different stores in your area, to see what they have. Elmo gave great advice, to make sure what type of wire you're comparing, as well as the gauge, when comparing wire fencing prices.

i wish i'd shopped around better before building my coop last week, i bought it from home depot, then searching for a feeder like i want, i found mypetchicken.com and they have 4x100 for $126. i have no idea what shipping would be. Our local ace hardware store didn't have anything close, and didn't even suggest ordering it. regardless of what their commercials say, the people who own and run this was are NOT very helpful, i've almost quit going in there

Mypetchicken.com doesn't specify whether this is galvanized after or galvanized before welding. It makes a big difference. The galvanized before welding wire is a cheaper product that won't last as long before rusting through at the welds, especially if you use it for an apron where it will be in ground contact.

thats true, i don't see when the welding was done on there anywhere. i've looked at what i bought from HD and the label on it didn't say either, now you have me hoping it was welded then galvanized! i'd hate to have it all come apart in a year or so esp at their prices!
