Where do you dispose of the pest after it's dead?

I live in the city and I've just been throwing them in the trash, which I know is wrong. Unfortunately if I call the city I'll get fined for having my chickens, trapping a wild animal and killing a wild animal.

I'm assuming it is illegal for you to have your chickens. That really makes it harder to deal with certain problems. In a lot of cities, it is illegal to throw dead animals in the trash, let alone trap and kill some wild animals. Usually it is against the law to release a trapped animal anywhere other than on your own property. I'd never do that anyway with a "predator". Why release a trap-smart animal where it becomes a problem for someone else? But that is just me and my personal ethics.

You can try calling animal control and see what your options are, but then they might discover your chickens. I'd probably bury it deep in the back yard and hope a nosy neighbor doesn't see you and report you for burying bodies in the back yard.

I think it is very thoughtful of you to pickup up road kill and disposing it in the trash can instead calling the Street Department and asking them to do so.

Double bag it and put it in the trash. My buddy has been doing it for years with the deer he kills. he just bags up the guts in one bag. He cuts up the bones with a saw and bags them up to. The city has never been the wiser.

If you are worried about putting something in your garbage you can take it to a dumpster. Could always put it out somewhere and feed the turkey vultures, but that decomp smell is nasty.Dumpsters.
