Where do you get food grade DE?

So back to the OP's question... What is it used for? why would you mix it in bedding, sprinkle on the run and mix it with their food? sorry, im also a newbie

Here is a good but lengthy explanation of food grade DE. It is an ad however.
Diatoms are tiny creatures who have skeletons made of quartz (SiO2) The skeletons act like millions of microscopic obsidian knives that abrade the joints on insects causing them to dehydrate and die. I am skeptical that it works when wet, but I remain open to the thought that it could.

but I haven't found any yet. My feed store carries stall dry and someone said you can use it too but I am thinking it isnt going to accomplish the same thing DE does. SO Im still looking for a local supplier.

You don't have to buy food grade DE,what i do is buy the stuff for oil spills, you can get it at your local napa store. But it has to be rinsed until the water runs clear(it takes a while),and you have food grade DE
