where do you get your eggs?

I buy all of mine through eBay and the wonderful folks on here.

So far, I've just gotten eggs from one BYC'er. (Melissa at Pasofino Farms) I have them under a broody. I let you know how we do on January 9th.

Ohhhhh.........and I forgot to mention in my previous post......eBayers are allowed to join BYC too.

I actually bought eggs from a lady on eBay only to find out later she was a fellow BYCer.......and when I start selling eggs eventuallly, I plan to use eBay.

I haven't gotten many eggs shipped (yet

) but the majority have come from BYC members. I had gotten some A&M quail eggs off ebay, and the guy sent 18. Out of those, 2 hatched. He sent replacements (13). Out of those, none even developed.

I won't buy eggs from ebay anymore unless they are something I absolutely can not find on here!! (like my golden lakenvelders...I don't think anyone here has them

)

Yes, definitely check out buy/sell/trade----> "Hatching Eggs" here on BYC message boards!!!

Also, you could look for someone nearby on that board, and go pick up eggs instead of having them shipped, if you want (that's what I did, I'm a "Newbie", so didn't want another strike against me with shipped eggs in the cold weather!!).
