Where do you get your food from

I feed my chickens Purina All Flock. I purchase all of my chicken supplies and feed at Tractor Supply.

What part of the world are you in? Local is always better if you can get it. If you have an Amish or Mennonite community near you, they may not be "Certified" Organic, but will be lower cost and exceptionally good feed.

I get mine at the local farm store. The TSC near here is not a place I would recommend. The price listed on the shelf is not what they charge you. Very deceptive. The folks who work at the farm store are actual farm family members so they have experience with livestock.

We used to buy organic until it simply became too expensive. Since graduated to non-GMO.

My father works for Kalmbach Feeds, Inc., therefore, that's where all feed comes from. I've tried Purina and a few other brands, but none are as wonderfully fresh. (likely because Kalmbach is made locally?) It's marked by a pleasant bread/blueberry muffin scent. Good enough for us humans to consume!

I find everything else to smell rather musty in comparison.

We feed Kalmbach too! The chickens seem very healthy on it (as compared to another brand we tried). We've use Hubbard, too and have been happy with their product, but less convenient to get that over the Kalmbach. The Purina Flock Raiser purchased at TSC was also fine, but got a bag that was clearly bad (from the manufacturer) and they aren't as good at stock rotation at that TSC, and price is distinctly higher. But, no organic feed here - too expensive and dates on bag are not great or as fresh as non-organic.

Look for a Fertrell dealer near you and ask them who they sell to. I'm a huge fan of fertrell based feeds.
