Where do you keep you feed? Country max is having a BOGO sale so I'm stocking up a few bags.
And before winter gets here, which being I'm in NY and that could be tomorrow

I'd like to have a few bags set ahead. I hate snow.

Same here. We got ours from a farm store, and I'm not sure whether it was specifically a feed storage can, or simply a large, metal trash can.

If i store it in basement should it still be in a air tight bin if left in bags because i am going for that sale.

I was keeping my wild bird seed in such a can and it got moths in it. My basement is cool but too damp.
If I leave in the bag I don't think I'll be able to fit more than one bag in one can.

When I say tight fitting lids, I mean sealed. The ones I use are made to hold pharmaceutical component materials, and have a clamp-on lid.

But you can still keep it in the bag, and store it safely. Place it inside double plastic bags, each bag individually twist sealed. Then stack in a cool, dry place off the floor. I'd suggest you stack two pallets atop one another, and then place the double sealed feed sacks on those.
