I have mine in the basement.

Only place that I can reliably keep it away from my dogs.

my basement is much cooler then upstairs where we hang out the most.

My bator has a fan ,will it maintain temp better with a fan, or should I put it on the main level where it's warmer.

as well,

where the heck does the hygrometer go, does it sit o the eggs where the little tiny thermometer would have gone that came with the bator??

my electric bill is 60.00 a month right now but it varies between 55.00 - 70.00 a month during the summer its much higher when I run the ac units around 150.00 a month with the incubators running it doesn't make much difference the big things like the AC or Heater is what changes my bill.

Mine stay in the basement/computer room. (its a finished basement with heat and everything) The temp stays pretty much the same down there.
