Vermont is still doing pretty OK. NH beat us in the state budget deficit, but overall, I don't think VT got sucked into the buy buy buy economy the way many more urban states did.

Interesting. I live in Michigan.

Despite the economy, I still love our beautiful state and have no intentions of moving elsewhere.

Ohio and we live in a steel town with a near by chevy car plant.

California seems to be taking a beating with the economy. Doesn't surprise me though.

In Ohio we are not far behind, doing better than our northern neighbors, but we just hit the 7% unemployment rate.

I hope for a better economy....

I agree with the Chicken Lady. Michigan's economy is very very very very BAD, but I was born and raised here and could not ever imagine leaving. It is the most beautiful place!!!
