Where is hardward cloth less expensive?

I have searched every site I could find and am going (reluctantly) with Amazon. It's around $71 for a 24" x 100' roll. I had the idea of patronizing a local hardware store but a 50' roll was over $100. I feel bad for not supporting local retailers, but I just have to economize where I can too.

My local farm supply carries it cheaper than TSC, Lowes, or anywhere else that I've found. But you have to buy it in hundred foot rolls.

Hardware cloth is not all of the same gauge wire. There is heavier gauge and there is thinner gauge. Naturally the heavier gauge will cost more.

If you wanted wider than 36" I'd check out wireclothman.com. With shipping cost I think they're comparable to wayfair.

I went through the same thing! We searched all over the internet and some of the places posted above and found that after adding shipping, it only added up to be about $20 more TOTAL (after adding up all of the rolls we bought) more than what it would have been to have it shipped. We decided that the extra $20 was not that big of a deal, and we were able to get it done without having to wait a week for delivery. It worked out too, that the dimensions of our coop supported the 50 foot rolls just right, so we didn't have to do too much cutting and wrestling with that wire. That stuff can bite you!

Good luck!
