My EE, Holly, has feathers missing in her neck like Chuck Norris has been mating with her. We haven't seen eggs in weeks now and she disappears. We've checked all the bushes, tree stumps, grass, etc. We simply cannot find her secret lair.
We had a duck last year that went broody and I expected to find her in a tree. After a week of searching, we finally found out she was underneath the coop.
Do you have neighbors close by? My girls always like the neighbor's property more than mine.
Could she be nesting in a tree?
