Hello All,

Where is the weirdest place your free range chickens have ever laid an egg?

Mine laid 3 eggs in this wagon, it’s filled with straw I take down to the coop to put in the nesting boxes. (The mess is all theirs).

I mean, the straw is in the wagon, it invites them 😉

I’ve had them lay between the goat shelter and fence, inside my lavender garden bed, behind the AC.

My ducks occasionally lay eggs *inside* the goats’ shelter. Pretty funny to find one in there 🤣

I had a buff orpington lay under a canoe. She was in a pen, but would free herself every day to lay under the canoe, she thought the eggs were her babies, and we had no rooste
In one of the tortoise burrows. She had FIFTEEN of them down there.
@gimmie birdies I bet it gave you a heart attack the first time it happened, especially if you didn’t see her at first.
@azurbanclucker it’s probably good she didn’t go broody while she was down there, can you imagine little chicks just popping out of the tortoise burrows?
