Where on His Body is the Worst Place

Hot pink has always been his favorite color. When I raised him by hand I used a feather duster for him to nestle inside of, and it had hot pink feathers. He loved it.

He didn't drink quite right when he hatched, so I fed him drops of water off the handle of a hot pink mini children's paintbrush. He'd go ape chasing that paintbrush around the solarium, carrying it in his beak.

I think he dislliked the water shooting him and took it as a challenge and threat and thus pecked back at it. He's full of personality, this rooster of mine.

I have posted as my Avatar a new picture of my roo when he was a downy little chick. His head feathers were always blue. He was such a soft little cutie.

I should post the picture of him sitting on my head when he was bigger but still childlike, before the teenage era set in and the hens usurped my place as his favorite female.

Oh, dear. I found out that my chicken sitter tore up the payment check I gave him. The person who told me about it said he thought I couldn't afford to pay him that much. Now what do I do? I guess I need to find out what he needs and buy it for him?

I don't think you should do anything. At least not now. He thought he was doing you a favor. Don't destroy his good feeling about doing so. If you do want to do something for him, wait a while, at lest a few weeks. Don't mention to him that you know he tore up the check, either. Next time you pay him, do so in cash.

I think he would just put all the cash in the collection plate at church.

And I need him to watch my chickens again for at least another 8 days starting November 29.

I now wonder whether he also tore up the $75.00 check I gave him in the summer for watching the chickens? I gave him a big block of cheese, also, at that time. Maybe gourmet food items would be a nice payment? I know he likes eggnog.

I have some $10.00 gift cards I got at the mall that are said to be good anywhere American Express is taken, but he might put those in the collection plate at church, too?

It is very sweet he tore up the check.

I found out he likes the Olive Garden Restaurant. Maybe I can get him a gift certificate to it, and tell him it's a Christmas present? I think that just might work. He's single, and this might be fun for him to use over the holidays?

What a nice chicken sitter. You don't want to lose him. I think he feels bad for the kicking.

I wish I had a sitter like this!

Yes, get him something nice.
