Where should I get my chicks?

If you can't have roosters and your limit is three, sex-links are one way to go-- the other is looking for "started pullets" of other breeds who are a little older and therefore you know you're not getting roosters.

Depending on your zip code, mypetchicken.com will ship as few as 3 also.

Hatchery wise, though I've never ordered from them, I know McMurray sells 4 week olds as well as started pullets.

If you go the feed store route, I recommend taking some time looking at pictures of chicks so you've got some idea what the breeds are supposed to look like- because unfortunately sometimes chicks get mixed in the bins, hatcheries make mistakes... feed store employees don't necessarily know the breeds themselves i.e. black sex link pullets won't have a spot on their head, red sex link pullets will be darker etc. and so on.

Good luck!

I ended up getting my chicks from a local feed store yesterday morning
