In that case, yes, I would add on to the coop area, but I would probably add on inside the existing run area since you free range.

First of all ... why are you adding chickens?

What are your future goals?

What breed(s) do you currently have?

What breed(s) do you plan on getting?

How much "free range" room do you have now?

While having only one coop/run to tend too ... can be much simpler ... depending on your answers to the above questions ... it may be better in the long run to have an additional coop/run ...

Get out your tape measure...and go measure it.
Get some more pics of the inside while you're out there.

Off the top of my head, if I were to add on to that, I would add to the left.
Continue roofline as far as possible, adding to coop and another run on the left.
Then you can split the coop, if needed, and have 2 different runs.
