where to buy chicks

I am in Florida and want to start a coupe of chickens for eggs. Can anyone recommend an online source to purchase, and a breed that would do well here in Tampa area, florida?

The type of bird would depend on what you are wanting them for...

Meat?
Eggs?
Both?
Pet?

I have just made my first order from http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com but I can't speak for the quality of their birds yet because I haven't received my first order yet.

From what I understand if one is interested in eggs only... the Pearl-White Leghorn is the chicken of choice.

My preference is to always from the closest hatchery; less stress on the chicks because they're in the mail less time.
