Where to buy my first chicks

Ok this is strange, when sending a post I would get an error saying it couldn't be posted so I tried again a few times now theres a lots of them. Whats going on?

I removed your duplicate posts. Perhaps something hung up in the system.

As for breeding/breeders, with day old chicks, most cannot sex them... with the popularity of chickens, at least in this area, there can be breeders who are out to make a buck and see someone new coming from miles away. Oh, and if you do get into breeding, you might want/need to re-consider your stance on eating them if you can't find an outlet for excess roosters. Half will be boys.

I see if I get roo's I would just raise them for 8 to ? whatever weeks then eat them. Can you keep them all together?

As long as you raise the roosters together, I know they can still do good for at least 6 months, sometimes more, as long as they aren't game. I raise roosters together a lot as I like to have a few extra of the same breed for most of my breeds.

For your standard egg laying chicken, you can raise the boys together till it's time to eat them, which is usually 14-18 weeks old.

I just don't know if I can eat them, well maybe I will take the boys to the farmers market and sell them. Some else can eat them.
