Where to buy Pilgrim Geese!? McMurray and Holderread are out?

I had ordered six pilgrims from McMurray and was only sent 2. They credited me, but I am now shortand everyone is sold out. I think I got lucky and got a male and a female, but I was really hoping for at least one more breeding pair. Anyone out there having anything for sale? I am located in Bloomfield, NY. ~ June

You're not the only one shorted on Pilgrims. Ordered 8 (4 sexed pairs) in Feb. from Metzer. They called the day after they shipped them to say I'd only be getting 4 geese because they took too many reservations. They shipped Monday & said I would have them by today (Wed.) and they are still nowhere to be found. I called Metzer and found they can't track them and they didn't add any grow gel, though they did put in a heat pack.

I am very worried that the half my order that actually shipped won't survive the trip! The only reason I ordered from all the way in CA (I'm in IL) is because no one closer would sell sexed goslings. I sure didn't want to spend almost $200 and end up with 6-8 ganders. Been looking forward to this for a couple of years & I'm just sick about the whole thing.

The post master is being wonderful and has called me 3x today to keep me up to date. We have poultry deliveries every year & this is the first time we've had any trouble with shipping or the order itself.

I tried to get Pilgrims too, but couldn't find any so we went with Buffs from Metzer Farms instead.

I've seen several listings on here and Ebay for pilgrim eggs.

look at the sponsors menu and look through all of the poultry and look there is probably some out there...

It does seem that most hatcheries are sold out, maybe it would also be a good idea to post a WANTED add in your Craigslist Farm & Garden section for Pilgrim Geese.

Hopefully I will have about 30 gosling pilgrim running around in a week. If I get that many will be looking for new homes for some.
