What is the best way to find people to buy your chicks? I want to get into breeding. The last time I hatched I waited until after they hatched to find buyers. No one bought them

I am part of the FFA so I’m sure I could find some buyers through the school. ThanksConnections are best. I have a few people that know I have good, healthy birds and they come yo me when they need the kind I have, and send people they know are looking to me
That’s a good idea. I can ask the feed store I go to to see if they will let me. They may even allow me to sell chicks at their chick day in the spring. Thank you!Can you post a sign or notice at your local co-op or feed store?

I’ve been out of school for about 2 months, so I haven’t really been able to talk to people. I will get in contact with my teachers and tell them to contact me if anyone is interested in chicks. What are some breeds that most people are interested in? I have 7 lavender Orpington hens that I bred last time.Good connection right there. Do you know if anyone is looking to buy a particular breed? One thing about selling is having what your customers want. That's easier than trying to convince them to buy what you have.
That’s a good idea! I could do that on school bulletin boards and/or on Craigslist (I’m not allowed to have Facebook :/ or I’d do it on there)My sister posted daily and weekly pictures of the incubation process.
She had people contacting her and she had them pay 100% up front with a refund only if enough didn't hatch.
She sold out of her first big batch and was able to do two more big batches to sell.
Can't sell animals on Facebook anyhowThat’s a good idea! I could do that on school bulletin boards and/or on Craigslist (I’m not allowed to have Facebook :/ or I’d do it on there)
