    Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and I am interested in hatching some duck eggs. We have a 5 acre lake in Georgia on 100 acres, and I think some mallards would look great out there. I have looked around online and I am just looking for a reputable place to order Fertile Mallard Duck eggs online, or if anyone knows where I can get them near Athens, GA (East of Atlanta) that would be great.

Also, I was looking at some information on wood ducks. It appears that it takes special permits to sell their eggs. Is it feasible to get some of these for hatching?

    Any help is appreciated,

If you order wood duck eggs the owner of the pair should legally hold a valid Federal Migratory Bird Waterfowl Sale and disposal permit and supply you with a, transfer Form 3-186, to show that you have purchased them legally. You are not required to obtain the federal migratory bird waterfowl sale and disposal permit unless you plan on selling/giving/"disposing of" (getting rid of them to someone else) them or any offspring that you raise. You Should Check with state regulations also, and i'm willing to bet that if you pm a user, screen Name Boggybottombantams, he would be willing to tell you regulations for Georgia as there regulations were messed up there for a bit.
Or you could try and post here --> https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=5408010 to ask him.
