My egg turner is about 12 years old and finally gave up on me. Can I just replace the motor, or should I just get a new one all together? The motor says "Appliance controls".

I came across some small gear motors in the Surplus Center Catalog (surplus center.com) on page 133. There is one that turns at 1 revolution per hour has a 1/8" diameter shaft 1/2" long, with a flat. I noticed on the motor on mine it says 1/240 rpm, so that would come out to 4 revolutions per hour. I guess a person could find a couple of small pullies and go from a 2" to a 1/2" and speed it up, that should give you 4 revolutions per hour. I've got a little egg washer (very small) that has a conveyor driven by a belt which is a 1/8' diameter O-ring. Maybe some little pullies from an motorized erector set would work.
