where to get best price

Google "hardware cloth manufacturer" and see if there are any in your area. I found one about 45 minutes from my house. They will sell directly to the public. I not only will save more than buying from any retail place I have found online or offline, buy if I pick it up, I won't have to pay any crazy shipping charges.

What was the price direct from the manufacturer?- Do they off it 5 or 6' high in 100' rolls?

So that is your price if you pick it up? It says $352 for the 48" on the page, cheaper to buy from amazon at that price. You could buy 2 from amazon and get free shipping even at that price. Wait I see, that is a good price for 48" but I would have to ship. I'll check in my area, good idea! Thanks. Definitely worth the 1.5 hrs round trip to save the million dollars on shipping.

The $352 for 48" is 16 gauage wire (the first two listed on that page). The ones I am quoting are 19 gauge, the gauge most commonly used for chicken coops and the gauge you will get at the local hardware store.

Yup, shipping of hardware cloth is an arm and a leg via UPS.

Awesome suggestion, thanks for it. It turns out this very company has a warehouse in Florida. I haven't called yet to get the details but when I do I will post about it. Looks like it's in St. Pete or Tampa, so central west coast of Florida. Thanks again. I just wish that it was available as a 72" wide from someone, that would make installation so convenient. However this price can't be beat I don't think. I paid about $200 for my last round of this wire and I got less.

Doesn't Lowes offer a "low price guarantee"? They should be able to give you a 10% lower price on the item that you find cheaper elsewhere.
