Where to get Magpies?

I got a magpie two years ago from RK and he's one of my all time favorites. I've tried to add more magpies from hatcheries without much luck. Anyone have any favorite places to get magpie ducks?

I have been wondering that as well. Metzer just added the breed but they don't have any females available for the foreseeable future.

They're super cute and I'd like to try one! I've never been, but I know that we have some local bird swap shows and I'm wondering if you might be able to find the rarer breeds at a place like that.

I am trying to avoid getting them from swap meets and stuff... don't want to bring diseases into my flock.

True Magpie are difficult to find. A lot of people assume that a black and white pied duck is a Magpie, regardless of breed. If you do find a source, make sure that they're actual Magpie.

I had some myself, two females and a male, but one of the females disappeared last Spring (along with two of my Cayuga females) and my poor little drake died suddenly. The breeder we got them from stopped breeding them and they were from his last clutch. I've been looking for some since then.
