How convenient is that? A vending machine for worms. Awesome
You can get them on Amazon too...if you have an Amazon Prime acct, you can find some good deals with free 2-day shipping. It's pretty hard to figure out exactly what Amazon DOESN'T sell!
I started giving mine dried mealworms when they were a few weeks old and they are still alive and thriving. They also love it when I dig up earthworms and other bugs from the garden for them.
yuck...unless you are a chicken I guess!

Thats cheap- THANKS for the link! Is it ok to give to chicks? (Younger than 5 weeks?)
I get mine at Petco. They are about $5 for 500 (live ones I assume you want?). FYI- Make sure you get the freshest ones, check to date on the container-they are usually the ones at the back of the refrigerator. Also open up the container and check for black or dead ones. If they have the refrigerator too cold they will kill them and many will be black or dead. You don't want them because I found my chicks won't eat them.

here is a book i found there "Eat-a-bug Cookbook: 33 ways to cook grasshoppers, ants, water bugs, spiders, centipedes, and their kin"
you can grow them, feed them to your chicken and have lunch all in one
I just bought mealworms from Petco's online store last week. I got 5000 for $30 with free shipping. It was a hoot watching my broodies teaching their week-old chicks to eat them - I had nine little fuzzy chicks running all over the yard with worms hanging out of their mouths!
