*Where* to mount CPU fan in LG 9200? And a franken-fan question....

I have an LG 9200 (still air). I wired an 80 mm fan but now I'm not sure where the best place to mount the fan is? On the underside of the lid pointing down? On the underside of the lid pointing toward a wall? And will screws stay in the styrofoam? How much space between the styrofoam and fan? I'm feeling kinda dense

A pic would be most helpful,

Also: DH is petrified that my franken-fan is going to start a fire. Can anyone testify to the safety (or dangers) of these (cpu fan, stripped wires, twisted/taped to 12v phone charger)?

I mounted one in the front middle under the vent plug pointing up. I tried other ways, but this one worked the best for me. It seemed to more the heat around better and wasn't blowing right on the eggs.

A 12 volt dc fan will not start a fire. not even almost.

Oh, and at least half inch between the fan and the top so it can pull air and redistribute..............and the fan blows towards the top of the bator........not toward the eggs!
