Where to Order from?

Hello I'm looking for a place to order chickens from. Im wanting to order around twenty five chicks. Im looking for a Hatchery that would be best to order from. I want a variety of different kinds.

I just ordered some from Mt. Healthy all are very healthy and growing fast. I ordered mine from them because of the good things people on here had to say about them. They dont have as many different breeds as others do, but it seems like what they have are hearty. We have been very pleased with what we got and would order more from them. There are plenty of folks on BYC that can tell you more.

I have to second the above poster. I have only ordered from Mt Healthy once, last March, and was very happy. No DOAs, one weak chick died and another died unexpectedly in the first three days. They sent me 26 chicks, and credited me back for the one dead chick. The birds grew really well, and I still have one EE and two Speckled Sussex hens. The EE is sooo sweet, very large bird and lays a jumbo green egg.

I have only ordered chicks online once, Last Dec. from MYPETCHICKEN, see their ad or link below the home page. I ordered 10, they all made it in one piece and all survived. I did the mix brown eggs layers and got 4 different breeds. Except for the shipping cost which I guess is high for all the hatcheries, some a little lower but still pretty close... It was a fun experience...I normally let my girls brood but had a smaller than normal hatch rate, plus only 2 went broody instead of the normal 6..

Thanks for the reply's the only place I have ever order from online was McMurray but this was well over 12 years ago.
