I just saw yesterday that you can order chicks right from Tractor Supply's website and they ship straight to your post office. Said the shipping was included in the chick price, and Barred Rock pullets were something like $3.49, that's a really good price with shipping.

we buy all our layers from mcmurray, this year im going to try cackle tho. for our turkeys and meat birds we buuy from sunnyside hatchery. we order thru our co-op but you can order other ways and the pricing is honestly unbeatable. not many options but to me worth it for our meat birds. their jumbo broilers are only 1.30 per staight run chick

over the years have bought from all the hatcheries you can think of for "white broilers' cornish cross. i live in connecticut. have bought them from Metzer in cali ,meyer,hoover,mcmurray, etc. all the same results with quality in regards to health, DOA etc. all very reputable companies. price varies from hatchery to hatchery. USPS gets them there in a day or so even my ducks from Metzer in Cali. MY 2 cents.
