Where to pick up my chickens???

Hello everyone,
i need help. I am having baby chicks shipped but i don't know what post office to go to to pick up my baby chicks?
Does anyone have an experience of having birds shipped? also when i try and call a post office they are always busy how do i get a hold of a post office to tel them i have baby chicks coming if they can't answer the phone???

I have had many orders of baby chicks shipped over the years. They will arrive at your local post office through which the mail going to your address is shipped. Also, the post office should give you a call and notify you when the chicks arrive so that you can go and pick them up.

Your local post office should be the nearest post office. Most of the hatcheries I have ordered from ship on Mondays (you should be able to get this information from the hatchery).

You may have to go to the post office to verify where the chicks will go. My PO is set up with a main office, some outlying smaller offices, and a central package pick-up office that doesn't do regular PO traffic. So, just trot down to your local place, stand in line
