Hi~
Right now I have one waterer and its on a water warmer in the coop. They have an outside run that is immediately out the door and then a "chicken tunnel" that leads to a bigger pen where they spend most of the day. I have been leaving the waterer in the coop mostly to keep it from freezing. Do you think that the chickens are smart enough to go back to the coop if they are thirsty? Or do you think "out of sight out of mind"? When I bring it outside when I come home they do run over to it, but they basically run over to whatever I bring out there as they usually know I'm bringing something good!
Thanks
Val
