First welcome to BYC. You will get much advice from many "eggsperts" from the threads. However, I agree with much of what was said. I just finished the last year of learning by doing, reading BYC amd making mistakes. The space thing cannot be over emphasized. I am currently regretting making my house too small for my 6 large hens. Luckily its now spring so they have the pop door left open for them to come and go into the run. Lastly, dont start with eggs. I have read enough on BYC to glean that incubating is very difficult until you know what you are doing. Start building your coop. Then get little peeps. They are easy enough to raise while you get the coop ready. Good luck...
