Where were you when the world stopped turning? Remembering 9.11.2001

I was not long after the attack that my hubsnad and I was in a auto store one guy there was behind the counter and a customer questioning him if he was from IRAQ he said he was south america the guy said "If he wasn't there would be hell to pay " meanig I felt he was gonna hit him or do bodily injury my husband said "I HEAR YA" I should of said something I should of I regret I didn't I do now but then I was like everyone else but when I got in the car I said to my husband "I DON'T EVER WAT TO HEAR YOU SAID ANYTHING OF THE SORT EVER AGAIN, YOU CAN'T JUDGE ONE THEM AND SAY ALL ARE LIKE THAT" yes I saw on new that some were happy this happened over there but in german they were telling there people we (Americas) were devils so who knows what the cgovernment is telling them. I said you can't ( I am sorry I don't want to get any flack but it is the only way my redneck husband understand things) say all blacks sell dope or all latinos are stealing our jobs or pick one race and say they all are like this.
I know that guy at the counter was very affraid and even if he was the guy that wa questioning well if I was the one at the counter I might of lied to avoid anything. It is sad that since this has happened the ones that don't mean any harm and want to just live their lives as we do are subject to this attack it is a awful awful thingto happen and it was awful for all I can only say I know what it is like as I have had a son die but as for the rest of the family I can not say. The death when you heard it will bring you to your knees and you will wonder why of all poeple why you loved one was taking and sme maybe be aggro with GOD. I am sorry for all who have lost someone in 911 but I hope we have(as a county) got stonger. Our poeple now know we are not invisable and it CAN be here.

I hope I have not ofeended anyone and my sincerest condolenses to all.

An angry reaction like that after such an awful event is understandable. It happened in the UK after some of the worst IRA bombings. However, that feeling must pass and a more logical and thoughtful attitude follow. Blaming Iraq was, of course, especially illogical because no Iraqi was know to be involved in 9/11.

Whoever was behind the 9/11 attacks, they seem to have achieved several aims, one of them being to create divisions between people and nations where none existed previously. Or, perhaps, they were there but never openly expressed.
